HIGH RISK

LIMITED

User-facing AI: chatbots, virtual assistants, content generators. Transparency obligations under Art. 50.

MINIMAL

Low-risk: spam filters, game NPCs, recommendations. Minimal obligations. Good practice to implement basic governance.

Key Dates

Feb 2, 2025: Prohibited practices in effect. Aug 2, 2026: High-risk requirements begin. Ireland enforces through 15 National Competent Authorities.
